About the Image

The Desert Studies project was shot from a small plane as I flew over the Mojave Desert. The project is a topographical study of the desert spaces near Las Vegas. With roads dissecting through near baron spaces, the stripped down colour palette aims to show the harshness of the place, but also attempts to reveal a beauty through shape and form.
