I don’t try to copy or document the world, I rather try to do a very personal interpretation of it. I don’t manipulate my photos, since I want it to be the “real world” I’m interpreting. I really enjoy being in nature alone and most of my images are created when I’m walking around alone early in the morning or late at night. I think the atmosphere in my images is conveyed much better without people in them – the viewer can imagine being in that quiet landscape alone, too.

When travelling, I am looking for unique shapes in the landscape, trees, sky, sea and try to capture them in the right atmosphere, often coming back to the places again and again, waiting for the right weather, light - the perfect moment.
